Earnest Edward Lacey is a speaker, author, Genealogist, Publisher and Curator. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended Melrose High School. He lived in Chicago for a number of years, graduating from John Marshall High School and Chicago State University. He earned a Masters Degree in Business from Governors State University in University Park, Illinois. Lacey has received a number of awards, the latest, “The Dr. Carter G. Woodson Award of Merit” by Southwest Tennessee Community College in 2002. He has two adult daughters and lives in Oakland, Tennessee with his wife, Clara Elaine Lacey.
